Cooking for relatives???!!!!!?

I want to cook for some of my relatives but I don't know what to make. I want something easy and simple but delicious!! They like rice and beans and chicken....spanish food (Because we are Dominican) but I want it to be a surprise to them because they are letting me stay with them for the summer so I want it to be a gift to them! HELP!!!! Anything for dinner.....anything appetizing!! :)
