Do you clear us customs before leaving the dominican republic or back in the states?

Back in the US at the International Airport you fly into, You clear US IMMIGRATION first. You will be given a card to fill out during the flight, so fill it out and hand it to the Immigration inspector when he/she asks for it, then you pick up your luggage and go through Customs. This is SERIOUS BUSINESS so don't go making any stupid jokes about having bombs or contraband or you WILL get more attention than you have ever had in your life.
